Hand brake light

Hi. I'm trying to get the hand brake light working on my 300 tdi defender. Have checked the bulb and it's working and the wire is connected to the switch at the hand brake. Anyone any ideas please?

Maybe havnt checked switch yet mate. Should there be power in that wire? I tested it for power and didn't get any

Remove the wire from the switch and touch the the transferbox or seat rail with it and if the bulb or wire are ok the light will come on and the problem will be with your switch. If it doesn't and the bulb is ok as you said it is, check the continuity in the wire.

Defender Wires....happy days Not!!!

Wire must be cut somewere mate no joy.
Is the wire easy to trace?

Teres only one wire (W/Y) goes behind your dash cluster which is simple to remove.

Got the light fixed. The wire was cut and I needed a new switch. I've another problem when I apply the hand brake the brake warning light is coming on as well. Have you any ideas?
