Is it the turbo whistling? You may not hear it in higher gears due to wind noise.

Does this white gas linger or dissipate quickly? Had an Astra with a hg issue and it ended up popping the rad taking the repair bill up another £80.

Well, yeah, but, I don't actually even care anyway cus I ain't got a d3 and if it's too much snow for the car I'll just get me pushbike out:D When I referred to our cousins down under I meant just their cars in general, probably some sort of ford saloon, not a landy. Tyne tunnel had d3's.

What about winch attachment, snatch recovery and the d3 ability to tow serious weight? There's one around here somewhere with a towbar sticking out the front which I was looking at in a disabled bay at IKEA, guessing it's to push the owners caravan into position. I hope it's only one of them...

It's sure to be stat related. It will be stuck open allowing full circulation of coolant through the rad. The engine will never get to operating temperature and thus use more fuel. You won't get much heat out of the heaters.

This is good news for us that own them, as it will take away the hype that's been created since production end was imminent a few years ago, and hopefully it will make them and their parts less desirable to theives now. Bad news for anybody who bought one as an 'investment' though:p

I'll rely on your superior knowledge on this occasion then, every car I've ever had has had a few empty fuse slots including my d1 so thought a d2 would be no different. Every days a school day though I suppose:)
