I have changed the spring kit, shoes and cable as well and the problem solved. It was about 2 years ago and since the car is running sweet! As I have changed several parts I can not 100% confirm what has caused the problem but probably the shoes.

Check handbrake as well. In my case that was the root cause (i had vib around 2700-3000).

Just one comment on min tread depth. For a normal winter tyre the recommended min is 4mm. So, for an offroad 4-5mm also would be realistic. Attached a photo about the wear indicator of my tyre. So I am about 2mm away from it.

I know that 6mm is more than enough for MOT or use it on normal roads, but I am almost sure that it does not perform the same on offroad like a brand new BFG AT. I do not just want to waste money if it will not make a reasonable improvment. Otherwise i will put a set of MTs on my spare wheels...

Sorry, it is an engine sump, td5. In the meanwhile I have also found the answer, so the prop in my case can stay in place. It should only be removed if you still have the plastic undershield on.

I have a 2003 td5 manual with stage1 remap and got 22-24 as average mainly on short runs (never on highways). As before suggested, check sensors then fill it fully up drive few hundred kms then refill again (possibly on the same station) then calculate.

I also felt Monroes soft and changed to Bilsteins (only front and kept the Monroes at the rear where I have air springs). Satisfied with this set up.

I have changed on mine when installed CDL. Quite tricky to reach all bolts but manageable. Used mirror or sometimes just undo bolts blind. would be much easier after removal of front left seat.
