I can't get this pump to static setting. It has one setting giving a 0.95 in dial gauge , much towards the lower range of pump's travel. If I set it to that position, I get white smoke with rattling engine & hard starting. If I push the pump fully towards the engine , the reading gets me 0.73 ...

Though I disconnected the wiring connector, did not check the motor with a direct supply. will do that n see. Is the wiper motor repairable?

Only option is to replace the pump. That's very expensive at the moment.

Even after I remove the fuse 15, the interior lights blip momentarily whenever I open a door. Means that it's getting power from something else.:confused:

Then I can ignore this random low value from the 4th injector and look somewhere else for the fault.

Done but it drains the battery. Must be something with the interior light circuit.

I also found that and no part number indicated. But it's shown separated from the diode pack in the diagram. I removed it by undoing a single 8mm nut. The broken wire post has 2 connectors soldered to it's base. May be a used parts guy can help.

May be I've misunderstood. I thought 'Late EDC ' means engine with EGR & MAF and 'Early EDC' means non EGR with IAT sensor. (mine came with this setup) Also, whether late or early, all diesel ECUs are BOSCH, I believe.

Well, it refused to start. Just kept on cranking. Changed back to 'Late EDC' and it started. Now I'm confused as the car is 1997 MY , and must be 'Early EDC'.:confused::confused:
