If it arrived like that send it back ...

It was not through a courier. It came through Deuch Post.
It was not dropped but when removing from the original car they would have broken it. Otherwise, they don't need to cut the wire at this particular post
at the very end of it.
Went through Valeo diagrams but this particular part has no part no.
My existing alternator gives only 13.1V , nothing more. & its got other problems too.

Then ask for your money back, it is not fit for purpose ... a doorstop ...

What other problems?

Already claimed via e of bay but doubt any positive results as the seller would expect me to return it. I thought of getting it repaired than paying return postage which will be prohibitive.
The existing alternator is Delco brand & it cannot be fitted using both bolts as if you fit bottom one the top bolt hole is out of alignment .
When I bought the car it was there. Found out about two years ago when the alternator stopped charging. When I removed it for repairs, I noted that it was fitted with only 1 bolt.
So this time when it started giving problems thought that I should fit the proper unit.
Don't think the existing one's parts will match this Valeo unit.

Register it with PayPal as they can claim the return postage.

Last time I had an issue through the bay of e, I explained to them I would be seriously out of pocket to return it. They ensured seller paid postage costs in refund.

Thanks. through bay e , claim process the seller wants me to return it.
Checked with DHL , from SL to Germany it costs about 100GBP minimum.
So, told him the position that it's not sensible to pay return postage of 100GBP whereas I paid 100GBP inclusive of item value +postage, originally.
I'm trying to get him to arrange his own postage from SL, if possible.
Can't claim from PAYPAL till I get it sorted through bay e.

eBay will always side with the buyer, through experience ( I wont stand for anyone ripping me off 99P or £100) the seller tends to tell you to keep it, and gives you a refund, dont put up with shoddy goods,

Bought a chainsaw, a Chinesium Stihl clone, a part 'fell' off......
long story short the seller was about as much use as a fart in a space suit, I simply cited the distance selling act and other acts and hey presto, money refunded in full........and NO request for the goods back.

I bought a rebuilt steering box for an omega, it came without the lower seals fitted, really impressed after ut ****ed out oil!!!! Yeah yeah didn't think id have to check, anyhow one refund and told not to return it to England I sourced the seals for twenty pound delivered and enjoyed my free steering box.. Unfortunately that's not always the case. But then I bought a little badge for the bus, didn't arrive! Told them, they sent another.. And they both arrived.. One for the front and now one for the rear... Good luck kapi!
