Any idea why my oil light flickers when the engine is warm? I change the engine because it was doing it on the engine that was in it.. 200tdi disc lump. New engine had new bearings and rings ect. I've tried new pressure switches ect... Strangely when it flickers I get a relay clicking with it...

i have a gutless stage 2 auto td5 and have been told its the Torque convertor thats not doing its job. mine isn't using oil like yours and i also have a nano com so i can see what its boosting at ect

After taking the caravan away and enduring the gruelling up hill struggle with a not so big van on the back i took my td5 to storm tuning and had it stage 2 remapped, he struggled to get it to go and said the torque convertor is on its way out..... Add electric fans, when you notice the temp getting high flick it on.

Stall test showed engine speed at 2600 or there abouts so i'm happy the engine has plenty of power, took it for a drive and the turbo was showing as boosting slightly under 1 bar on full chat so ive shortened the wastegate by a turn and its now up to 1.1 bar or just slightly under at full chat...

Personally I wouldn't worry about a remap. Maybe if your hammering it foot to the floor constantly and never let off but I do doubt you'll cause problems to it with a map on it. Why not add something like a larger intercooler to keep the turbo cooler and that will also improve it
