if you are making your own pipe, can't you cut the flares off the end of the old pipe, take off the existing unions and re-use them? I have to do that on my American truck

something like this was what I tried excellent but as said it didn't last long so a whole chassis might be expensive, flap disc was much cheaper

flap disc on a grinder? there are also some discs that look like a scourer, can't remember what they are called, excellent for quickly back to bare metal but they wear out quickly.

thx, went with trw for the master and the replacement pipe was bearmach who are only a distributor so no idea who made it, but if the pipe doesn't last I will knock up my own using the unions.

adjusting those nuts on the cylinder shaft that hold the pedal in position is somewhat of a pita. saw a u tube vid where a chap had ground off the rounds of a spanner to give sufficient movement in the space available.

used your clutch master cylinder vid today for pointers on my series 3 :D

well the old one is off and the new is waiting to go on, old one doesn't look terribly healthy. might even be the original as it is a girling with the metal cap had to order a new master to flexi pipe, totally rounded the fitting trying to get it off, ended up having to take the pedal...

my understanding as said is that the Ashcroft transfer box whilst better than an od is better with a more powerful engine, a 109 std diesel would struggle

not too bad, better with a child than an adult, but the location of the gear and od levers could cause issues!

sure I have seen some where people just cut a piece of wood to fit in the channel when the window is closed which stops it being slid open. Goes in the channel between the edge of the moving bit of glass and the bulkhead end of the door obviously. might be easier than faffing about drilling holes

my 3 has early defender seats in it, comfier than the ordinary series seats. pretty sure I have seen some with seats out of a mazda that went straight in, can't remember which one though

the seller calls it a series defender, looks more like a series offender to me :D
