I likes a plot twist, me... It seems like the centre diff has blown up! That would explain why I can't unlock it then. I can only assume that it happened when I was running round with only the rear prop connected and must have given it some welly. I've got another lt230 to bolt on, but it's on...

Yep, I'm a stage on from that unfortunately but n harm at all in making sure not missed the basics. Will have to dismember the linkages now and see if I can unstick the old girl...

Three wheels up, in gear, driving at low rpm for a min or two. If the wheels were on the road it would be a max of about 250 yards.

Ok, so I've frigged around with it some more and the centre diff seems to be locked regardless of the lever position. So what's the next step chaps? The CDL shifter moves freely enough, and the linkage moves the actuating rod on the top of the transfer box, so presumably my problem lies inside...

I haven't been spinning the wheels , as in off road and without traction, just normal road driving in the last 6 weeks..

Hmm... I'm starting to go around in circles now - metaphorically! I've jacked up three wheels, and let it spin them just in case the diff lock was stuck and to allow the trans to unwind - I know a lot of people say to reverse for 10-20 yards etc. So it seemed to be unlocked, but now I'm not...

RED HERRING ALERT! It would seem that the disco is stuck in diff lock! Despite the cdl lever being firmly over to the right in hi range and unlocked :( I took the centre console out last night and the linkages seem to be moving and activating the rod that engages CDL to on/off, but there is...

ive got a snap on mig 130 for sale with about half a roll or more of 0.8 wire, some spare contact tips and an empty but big refillable co2 cylinder. It's had a few repairs over the years, but works well despite its battered appearance! It's an older mig and heavy with a lot of copper windings...

Got to say I'm also a it disappointed with the quality/longevity of the insa turbos too - there's a lot of perishing on the surface of the tyre In between the read blocks, presumably that's why the split started. The insa turbos have done me very well, but I don't think I'll be buying remoulds...

That's interesting LF - did this manifest as resistance/tension on full lock? I'm just about to swap out my CV's (just about to buy as it's pay day today) as that's what I'm getting with some clunking, but if I stop and reverse or 'unwind' the steering a little then the tension or resistance...
