TD5 Turbo problems - no boost

See if you can strip stuff down to give more access instead of removing the manifold. You are highly likely to encounter more sheared studs removing the manifold. I was lucky that I only had 1 snap on me. Drilling into the head to helicoil / go up a stud size is a whole new world of pain...

TD5 Turbo problems - no boost

Would probably be better using an exhaust leak seal kit as no tape will withstand those temps

TD5 Turbo problems - no boost

You got any torx drive bits? Mine was a right bastard to get out so I hammered a torx bit into the bolt to undo it. IIRC you can bend that pipe to lift it up out the way a little to give you a little more access, as it’s only thin metal it’s pretty flexiable

  13. baronvonprepper

    hello

I too had the same issue. Brought a D2, then sold it and missed it. Thankfully I now have another one causing me many many issues, but I wouldn’t have it any other way

    D2 leaking steering box?

From what I have often seen it’s rust creeping up the output shaft, destroying the seal. And what with gravity pulling the fluid against it constantly all it will do is leak out past the destroyed seal

    D2 leaking steering box?

I didn’t bother with a re con kit to do it myself I just purchase a box that a company had done. Wasn’t a bad job either

You tried unplugging the MAF sensor and running around with it unplugged? Also pop the map sensor out in the intake and give that a quick clean
