I have had OME +5.5" shocks with Gwynn Lewis 2" lift for the last 4 years on my 90,can't fault them.They have seen some pretty serious punishment in that time,though the springs have just started to sag a bit,so I've just changed them. Marc

This is my latest overland build. I have soundproofed it a bit,fitted decent seats,stereo,(though you can't hear it at much over 50mph). I try not to use motorways unless I have to,then stick to about 60mph. Just come back from a 2500km trip to the Pyrenees.With no problems at all.most days...

Having lived here in France for 12 years now,the language is not a problem. The roadbooks are all in French,but very pictoral,so easy to understand. A mondeo may be smoother than a Defender,but you don't get to see views like this. Marc

Not quite!!!!!!! IMO,a few pluses for a hard top roof tent. It goes up in less than 2 mins. Your bed is ready to climb straight into,as all your bedding is stored in the tent. You can stop anywhere & put it up,including service station car park. Dont have to dry it out after night time rain...

Thanks for the replys guys I've used a suitable sized piece of wood to align to clutch plate. I've been turning the crank to try to align the splines,but with the gearbox in neutral?i'll try with it in gear tomorrow. Marc

Switched live is orange & white,I picked one up from the back of the fuse pannel.

It probably is 36 spline.....But.....Land Rover has a habit of changing things randomly,and the stering wheel boss is an example of this. So to be sure,I'd get someone to take the wheel off and count them.
