Hello lads & lasses I have a bizzar problem with the headlight ON light on the dash.It stays on all the time,wether the lights are on or not.Not causing any other problems,except bugging me.:mad: Can anyone give any ideas where to start looking? Cheers Marc

My guess,is the master cylinder seals have gone,so, when pedal is pressed fluid is passing the seal,thus n ot leaking out. Marc.

I run 285/70 16 BFG M/Ts on my 300tdi,I think they are slightly taller than the 255/85s & I have no trouble with the motor turning that gearing. Marc

Try dusting the belt & pullys with talc. I find this never fails to stop mine squeaking. Marc

I use a pry bar in the gap rather than the big hammer. Dont get under it,it's chuffing heavy with the T/B attached. Marc

You actualy only need your doggie passport to get back in to the UK. Once in Europe there are no border posts anymore,at least the countrys I have visited,France,Spain,Portugal,Italy,Holland,Belgium........ I don't think you even need one to leave the UK. Marc

Off road prep would depend on which routes you were looking to do. I have done routes all over Northern Portugal, Spain & Pyrenees that you could easily do in a Disco 3 with no mods at all. Have a look at,Picos de Europa.Bardenas Reales,& Val d Arran. That is a great trip in itself. Marc

Stuart There is no problem taking your dogs,it's very straight forward going through customs with them. Everywhere in Europe is much more dog freindly the the UK.So you can take them on all campsites,most hotels & restaurants. Just go for it. Marc.

Quick update on this. After getting advice form a member on another forum. It turned out when taking the gearbox off the engine I didn't keep them straight & bent the clutch plate slightly. Replaced the plate & all is now good. Thanks for all your input & advice guys. Marc

I can be a bit thick sometimes. The slave is definately working because when the pedal is pushed whilst I'm under the truck I can hear the bearing moving on the shaft. Thanks Marc
