Yes,it's the textured finish.Though you can make the texture more or less textured by altering the pressure at which you spray it on. Mine is fairly smooth,not as flat as paint,but net so textured as to snag a cloth. Marc.

I had no end of trouble with mine leaking changed it 3 times,the last time for a 'genuine' one,still leaked.So I chucked the gasket away & fitted it with silicone sealant...... No more leaks.;) Marc
