yeah its what you explained to me with mine wich was me problem but it wasn't on the filter it was on the bottom.fuel intake on the fuel pump direct from the loft pump should ne an inbound one.way valve wich mine was open and flowing back to the lift pump

ive just been throught this smoke saga with mine and it turned out to be a lot of play in the skew gear under the cav pump that drives off the cam shaft the bronze bush it runs in had worn out giving 1/8" play up and down thus as its moving up and down its turning the timing by up to and...

Is yours really a series.3 or a series 2.in disguise as i found with mine i too couldn't find me chassis number but with serious digging all over the net i found the chassis.numbers are repeated in certain places such as on top of the near side chassis rail under the rear tub and on the top of...

thing is by the looks of it thats one of them engines thats either petrol or diesel as i can see a carb shaped lump on the manifold and a DPA shaped lump on the other side rare as rockinhorse shyte to get one of them engines in mint condition

well since yer put it that way and looks like yer offering ask fer pics of the drivers side dash ( particularly the steering column ):boink: go on yer know yer want to ;)

not to mention the rear passenger indicator is either smashed off or missing ( possibly in an attempt to short the factory alarm me thinks )

more of a giveaway is the fckekkin cap is missing off it :rolleyes:

or heat the fekkin inlet fanimold up with a blowlamp ( hot air dunt arf elp with old diesels ):cool:

couple of things i noticed aswell as the bumper is rear passenger indicator missing ( bulb aswell ) rear door lock looks to have been razzed with a non key object fuel cap missing id seriously be askin questions why these bits are missing and why are there no pics of the interior (...

give it just about 1mm more advance on the pump timing marks ;)
