Yeah he's telling me that he thought it had a new seal fitted - which it didn't as I supplied a new one when I gave him the transfer box.

Hi, I had my transfer box replaced today, from a 1.2 ratio to a 1.4 ratio. 300tdi manual. LT230 transfer box. I've just noticed that it is leaking oil where the transfer box meets the gearbox - I'm thinking it's the input seal - thoughts? Would it leak like this if it was slightly over full? Foz

Remove the anti rollbar, will give you better articulation too. Will drive like a boat regardless with a 4" lift :)

I got round to fitting the electric fan on the mount properly. My aluminium header tank has arrived, as well as the clutch kit. I'm going to fit the header tank tomorrow, and take the Disco out for a drive for the first time this year! Foz

Small update. Swapped out the front crank case seal this morning - the old one was metal. Looked pretty well used. New seal Fitted the belt tensioner And also a new clutch slave cylinder - as mine the old one has been leaking since I bought the Disco. Hopefully in a couple of weeks...

Alright, so I think I know why the Disco keeps overheating... You're gonna laugh at this. I think I had the wrong temperature sensor! I had a black one in, and I think I need a green one. Swapped out to a green one this evening and it gets up to temperature much quicker now - as I would expect...

@neilly It was definitely dirty, but I don't remember it being overly deep - it wasn't over my bumpers. What are you thinking? Foz

@Kwakerman - my dad did it, he's a mechanic however I don't know what tension he would have used. I will get him to check. I've done less than 300 miles since the new belt was fitted, though. I'll take a look tomorrow in the day, i've had a belt rip itself to shreds on me before so know about...

The timing belt (and idler/tensior) were done in July last year - so hopefully they are still OK and haven't failed early. James, would that be the seal that sits just behind the pulley (in the timing case)? May sound obvious, but I like to be sure. Thanks
