Sorry I should have been more specific. Front is to the right of the picture. I've a feeling the bracket is too far back but I've nothing to measure it against (old chassis gone).

I believe it's for the front of the seatbox. Been that long since I stripped the old one down I can't remember!

Ok so got a nice shiny new chassis and it's brilliant ..... but can't get the gearbox and transfer box mounting brackets to line up with the holes in the chassis. The bracing for the bracket welded to the top face of the chassis gets in the way. Was a 1990 2.5td but now getting a nice low miles...

Sorry pics are a bit rubbish .... Sold 3 bikes so have everything I need bought (I hope).

Long story short version.... Chassis was shot, engine died Bulkhead leaked and then I cried. So bought a disco, donor bus Ripped out the engine with little fuss Ordered a chassis shiny and bright And started a rebuild yesterday night.........Game on.

Got stuck in this weekend :) Going to remove seat box to repair and rear tub so I can make a new cross member and fit.

Got new wheels and tyres last night for my 90 truck cab project....they're huge. Will look better once I get the suspension lift and raised arches.... Made by benzoni & co in Italy according to the stamps. Anyone else got ones the same? Know anything about them or even seen ones like them...

Got this 1990 truck cab yesterday having been without a Landy for nearly a year after I sold my last defender in a fit of madness. Needs new cross member, new engine and a general tidy.....probably a sh1t load of welding too. Engine is a 2.5td and seems lumpy and smokes when rev'd or...

If I got a 300 tunnel would that sort out issue? Or maybe it would be easier to take front panels off seatbox & put 200 onto the new one???:confused:

Hi, can anyone tell me if a 300tdi seatbox will fit into a 200tdi without any problems. Not sure if its a straight swop or not :confused: current one has rotted through in usual places and I've been offered a good one from a later 90. Any advice would be much appreciated. Ta very much.
