So am I. If the heater fan is on and set to windscreen the aircon/cooling fan runs on slow. Weird! :confused:

Hello All, As title says, the fan runs on a slow speed from start up on my TD4, and I'm not sure it should. It runs with or without the aircon on, and its both fans. If this isn't normal, are there any common fauts that cause this? Thanks in advance!:)

I made sure the engine was hot, stripped off all the bits and bobs to get to the injectors and then removed by applying pressure under the injector using a jimmy bar. I got the idea from this youtube clip. Freelander Injector Removal - YouTube All came out with little resistance, but getting...

Mine used to do this, and eventually one of the injectors failed. I have replaced all the injectors, and no more smoke.

It'll be inside the rear wheel arch then (O/S). Easy enough to get to, behind plastic arch liner. Once you get the liner out of the way, remove the whole unit, pump etc, all comes out together after removing bolts and disconnecting fuel pipes. Getting the filter out of the plastic housing...

Hi Phil, No, the ECU doesn't need programming. Just make sure the engine is hot and use a good quality release fluid. I'd ruled out all else before changing the injectors. Had a diagnostics test done and no faults were present, checked all the usual, MAF sensor, fuel rail pressure sensor and...

Well finally I've got the Freelander sorted. It was an Injector. In the end I did it myself after I sourced a set of 4 one year old injectors so I could replace the lot. Running great again now, thanks for all the help and advice!
