Classic Removing the Radio - What tool?

Thanks guys I had another look and you guys were right, there were connectors but they had been jammed behind the cage so I had to take that out to find them. Radio is now completely out. And thanks for the info norseman, I'll keep that in case I need them. :)

Classic Removing the Radio - What tool?

Sooo.... turned out the slots were just to get the surround off and then it was bending a couple of metal tabs to free the radio. Buuuut I then encountered another problem. None of the wires are on connectors, they all go right into the radio case and are soldered in place. Poooooo. Far more...

    Classic What a stinker!!

Maybe someone just wants to rescue it from him. :( I think there's parts on there still worth the current bid though, some body panels that just need cleaning and painting, roof, alloys, lpg tanks, possibly the 3.5 v8. What I'm curious about is why he decided to sell now, is he planning to give...

    Classic What a stinker!!

I'm impressed with the grip it must have to drive upside down like that though. :p So it says it was parked up 5 years ago and used to house pigs....why didn't he just sell it back then when it was in better condition? Would have got more money for it and been able to put together a shelter for...

    Classic Windscreen replacement

Yeah I saw their price earlier on their webstore. :( I'm sure there was a guy on here a couple of years ago who made them and sold them for £70 a pair. What colour are you spraying it?

Classic Removing the Radio - What tool?

Hey all. I am having a problem trying to remove the radio from my 1988 classic vogue. It's the original radio and was working but isn't now for some reason (the backlights do still light up with the car lights though). Was planning to pull it out and see if I could find out why. Anyone know...

Top shock mount - does this look right?

If you think it may be alignment due to the lift then disconnect the bottom of the shock and see if you can get it to line up. Here's a pic of my shock mount for comparison if it helps (no lift, standard shocks). Otherwise just take the whole shock off and check the bush.

HELP!....LT95 gearbox stuck between Reverse and neutral

Have you tried putting the transfer box into neutral, then changing into reverse, then changing back into high range? That worked when our disco 2 wouldn't go into reverse. Although putting it into reverse with the engine off and then starting in gear also worked. That's all I can suggest I'm...

    Classic spoiler

From what I was told years ago, there was a point in the 80s when models without air-con had no slots and the models with air-con had them. Not sure how accurate that was. My '88 Vogue has 4 slots and air-con.

classic manual gears or auto ?

Not a type of wheel I've seen before. And I'm going to go ahead and say that the exhaust is also a bit non-standard. :P Similar blue to mine. Got to love the classic. :)

classic manual gears or auto ?

Personally I prefer manual, but mine is auto and I want to keep it as original as I can (apart from the lpg). But I have a less complete one which I eventually plan to convert to a manual (and diesel). As someone else said a manual V8 from that period is rare so it could be worth keeping it...

    Classic Another Rebuild thread...

That's a weird combination of heights. Guessing they were at some point both on +2 but the fronts needed replacing and they stuck on cheaper standards. Any plans (besides getting them the same height) for the suspension yet? Like removing the rest of the air or replacing the missing bits and...

    Classic Another Rebuild thread...

Good to see another being rebuilt, always enjoy rebuild threads. :) Sadly I won't be of any use for advice. Does the air suspension work or has it been stuck on coils?
