Changed the diff and transfer box oil, could do the gearbox cos I couldn't get the filler cap out:( also fitted a de-cat pipe and fixed an oil leak from my lower oil cooler pipe. Anyone have any tips for getting the T55 filler plug out of a 300tdi Disco?

Check your intake pipes mate. My top pipe had a tiny split in it and caused my mpg to about half it's normal and a massive power loss

My noise started similar to that ( it would go away when under power). It sounded like a speedo cable (but obviously after ripping my dash apart I realised the 300 tdi doesn't have one!!!).

I had a strange noise last year and it ended up being the dust cover on my read diff input. I just removed it because my 300 is a Chelsea tractor :-).

That would be great if you are local. How much would you want?

I discovered a rounded off bolt on my Discovery 300 tdi power steering pump. When I tried to remove it I seem to have buckled the pulley and snapped the pumps input flange!! (I know I'm a butcher by trade :-). Does anyone know of or have a 2nd hand pulley and pump (not so desperate for the pump...
