Yep! Just kept trying and all of a sudden it went in! fitted a new hub and brake disc, calliper and pads, all back together and taken for a spin, like a dream. 3 amigos are no more (touch wood) thanks for everyone’s help and comments. sometimes it’s just good to talk lol

Pretty confident the hub nut was tight as I could get it with 4ft breaker bar and 32mm socket any ideas on this half shaft not going in?

Right, all taken apart and serious play in the new hub already! took it off and it’s knackered!! so got me thinking what could it be, pulled the half shaft out (front passenger) and all looks good on the splines... Now the next issue... I can’t get the half shaft back into place! won’t go...

Could very well be... I can’t say that u purchased the most expensive hub option available let’s see when I get the wheel off later

Should I cleaned out this spotlessly clean ?

No I didn’t have it to hand and just went for a quick spin to see if mechanically everything was sound, heard the grinding noise so turned around and drove home slowly. Left everything where it was in the workshop and came inside for beer lol

Never removed sensor from hub, guided up through the gap at the back and connected under the bonnet

Yes came all pre assembled with sensor.. from Hawkeye Fault 4086 sensor left front Driving broken wire

Ok I got it off!! Few good whacks with hammer and chisel and it opened up a small gap. then I did exactly as you said. cleaned everything up, copper greased everything, but everything back together, connected ABS sensor. Proud as punch! Then wait for it..... take it for a test drive and...

As title says, in the process of replacing front hubs 32mm hub nut is off and got caliper out the way, the 4 bolts holding the hub in place where a bi**h to get off and once I had I thought yes I’m on the home run. now the hub assembly itself won’t come away... tried gentle persuasion with...

Ahhh ok! Makes sense. Didn’t get chance to do the brake pads over the weekend (Mrs has better ideas lol)

They came back lol luckily still got the Hawkeye so plugged it in and this is the error. Will have a look when I do brake pads and let you know
