Yeah it is. Often I've found its the MAP sensor. If you measure the output, idle should be about 2v if I remember corectly. Full load was about 4.3v (1.2bar) I think. Don't count me on those figures, but its a start to the diagnosis.

MAP sensor can also cause gutlessness. Also, check that your Ambient Pressure sensor is connected correctly too. Had this a while ago with another TD5.

Was there oil in the loom of the new engine? (in the connector that is mounted on the head to bring the connections outside of the head). If so, don't mess about, get a new injector loom and keep cleaning the oil out of the red ECU connector, this can also be the cause for funny injector codes...

Have you checked the main pipe going into the cylinder head with the temperature sensor in it? Those leak all the time, take it off, clean up the crusty crystalised coolant, get a jubilee clip and do it up FT! :) Also, how much is it using?

MAF has been replaced and checked with Nanocom (60 at idle, 600 at full throttle) Low, High switch works correctly and tested the HDC button, constant beeping when in high box, not in low. Also checked with Nanocom

Try disconnecting an ABS sensor to disable the TC, ABS and HDC. It will calculate speed off the other 3 sensors instead. Preferebly disconnect the sensors to the wheels that are of different overall diameter.

If you have a different overall diameter, then the speeds will read differently. But the overall speed seems to be averaged. However, the SLABS ECU will think that the wheel with a different diameter is spinning faster so will try to apply the traction control to bring the "traction" back as...

The xj is just the width of the rim. So 7j would be a 7 inch wide rim and 8j would be an 8 inch wide rim

No I did exactly this on my old D1 and it worked beautifully. I used 3.6mm box section and capped the ends. Bought new mounts from easy on panels where required and welded them on where needed. They took a beating off road and never EVER saw a dent, only paint scrapes.
