I just did the front one with a poly bush, as recommended by one of the knowledgable guys on here, the back two I replaced with the rubber ones. I reckon the ones I replaced were the originals

Last big job was done today, fuel tank support bracket fitted by local garage. Bit beyond my scope dropping the sub frame. Pick up vcu bearings tomorrow then get that back on before getting it serviced.

Lol, what did you pay for them, the price varies everywhere.

Took the drive shaft off yesterday as well to replace knackered vcu bearings, that was quite easy as well, if not a bit fiddly. Also passed its mot last week, I must be doing something right.

PS. Mark your bracket small and large to represent the way the poly bush goes in. Rule of thumb, the larger part of all three bushes point towards the rear diff.

The steel sleeve has to be removed.

Easy job. Cut out the rubber with a hole cutter, angle grind cuts, join the cuts with hacksaw, just drops out. Used a bit of sandpaper on poly bush edges and a tiny drop of silicone grease, just pushed the halves together using black and decker workmate.

Hello, what bearings did you use ?

Passed its mot two days ago, but not happy with a rumbling noise underneath, so took off the vcu shaft. One bearing was iffy and the other was buggered, nice and quiet again in 2 WD. Will order new bearings tomorrow and replace.

It's a big job to replace the fuel tank cradle, you have to split the exhaust, drop the drive shaft and last but not least, you have to lower the sub frame. Mine goes in on the 12th to get done, been quoted £300 but could be more depending on sub frame giving problems.

Fixed the pump problem ( without taking the front bumper off)

Both pumps are running, rear one pumping water, front one just making a running noise. Have split the tube in engine compartmant, it's not pumping water.

Sorry, I'm not with you. What do I fit the pump to? The washer bottle is behind a two or three day front bumper removal.

Can anyone tell me which way the washer pumps face? Are they on the front of the bottle or the rear? Need to know this before I cut access plate, either through the bumper or through the wheel arch.

It's never going to happen mate. I would sooner cut a hatch through it to get to the washer pump. I can't tell you how ****ed off I am at this heap of crap vehicle. Been off the road for weeks, spent over £1000 on parts, got it back on the road, within a week, noise from underneath and washer...

Had a look at taking the bumper off, it's not a little job. Might just cut an access panel in the wheel arch.

Yes mate, broke the tube in engine compartment, no water. Can the pump be removed through the wheel arch?

just waded through lots of old threads but no help. Front washer motor runs, but no water. Rear washer is fine. Where is the motor please. Getting to loathe this damn car, fix one thing, two more problems arise.
