ive changed the oil and filter what could make the engine smoke it ticks over at about 500rpm but when reved to 2500rpm it starts to smoke

they do rattle on startup

the cats are shagged as they rattle on startup.

put some cat cleaner in and put my foot to the metal on the bypass road and it smoked all the way and failed again on retest.

mot was going well untill the emissions test today the 4.6 failed the tester did try and get it through but it was to high i was told it needs a new cat so looks like im going to have and payout on a new system never seen the old beast smoke before but when it got to 2500rpm it smoked the garage...

what mpg you guys getting in your 4.6 none lpg on motorway 70-80mph would be intresting to know.

erm might have to drive it in on its low setting or do they test it

had the battery light flashing up so i bought a second hand one off flee bay but when i went to put the two wires on the back they would not fit the second hand one had a 10mm fitting and mine was a 13mm why is this could it be diffrent amp alternator.

hi pepole im new to the site and my 4.6 hse has a over reving problem i have only just had the car and the first day it was fine but today i had the battery light flashing and after a short while the car cut out so phoned my mate to get a jump start after getting it home i charged the battery...
