Had a phone call to say the glass was ready to collect today, less than 24hrs! The size is fine, I could have maybe gone 5mm smaller on each measurement to allow for some more packing between the glass and the frame, but there was still a good amount of space that it won't be rubbing anywhere...

I had a glance at my crank hole (oo-er) today and even with a new galv chassis it's not dead central in the PTO hole.

Thanks, I measured it to leave about 3-4mm gap around the glass on all sides. Should find out in 2-4 working days!

Thanks for the measurements and tips. I've not got any tape yet but planned to use some Butyl. Local glazer is making up both sides in 6.4mm laminated for just less than £50, fingers crossed on the measurements.

Thanks, but Paddocks delivery times leave a little to be desired. I plan to get it cut locally, hopefully more quickly and cheaper. I managed to get the old glass out this morning, the aluminium retainers came out easily, along with the glazing tape. The measurements I made are as in the diagram.

Afternoon all, I've been wanting to drive Moreton Ford for a little while now. It's often a lot deeper than it was today, so after sending the dog in with a tennis ball to test the depth, I gave it a go. Not too deep at all.

Had that hose for my rebuild and fitted no problem. I'll check tomorrow if there's a copper washer on the t piece.

I'll take a look at my donor 109 sometime this week and see if there's still one on there. I won't ask a penny more than £799.98

Agreed, unfortunately I've had to drill and cut a few bits on my new chassis, but a lick of zinc paint and the protection offered by the galv coating will mean it will outlast me.

Quick photo of under the passenger seat. ARB twin compressor mounted and relays/wiring for the heated seats. Seats are now back from the upholsterer, so proper photos to follow shortly.

New inline washer pump fitted and plumbed into the Defender washer jets, still yet to test if the wind screen clears them. A couple of wraps around a coolant hose at the heater matrix to hopefully thaw them out in the winter!

You're right, it is. I imagine the 1st picture is a hazard relay, given the proximity to the hazard switch. Are both of the cylindrical flasher units wired up?

I'd reccomend clear fuel lines if you haven't already purchased an alternative. I used about 5m of 5mm internal hose to do both lines from/to the tank, filter etc. Makes identifying air leaks very easy. It is a little bit less rugged than the nylon, but I used some length of split conduit to...

Is the first one not the voltage stabiliser for the guages? It's usually attached to the back of one of the dials.

I had a similar problem which turned out to be the fuel pump not being bled properly, despite having fuel at all of the injectors it just wasn't as the right pressure. I think it took almost 30 mins on the lift pump with both bleed screws open on the fuel pump body to expell all of the air...
