    Intermittent misfire, stutter

Sitting at the traffic lights, my P39 2.5 diesel stuttered and almost stalled whilst idling. This happened again on the motorway, a brief and sudden loss of power every few miles. Anyway, got it home then had a quick look. I drained some derv from the filter, thinking that there may be water...

    what am i doing wrong

Same thing happened to me when I fitted new front airsprings. After I fitted the top & bottom pins, I kept them extended, ran the engine to allow the compressor to fill up the bags. I remember that I kept the tailgate open while I did this.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

The Maxi 5 fuse blew after moving the front passenger seat, I managed to fix the short circuit today. I bought one of these Neilsen Car Van Circuit Tracer & Detector Wire Tracing Short Open Circuit Finder | eBay I bridged the fuse slots using the sender then used the receiver to pick up the...

Fuse failed warning & power seat problems

I knew that, but was having a senior moment :D Anyway, following Rick-the Pick's advice,(top bloke) fuse Maxi 5 was the culprit, just need to check the air suspension pump for a short.

    Today is airspring replacement day..

I've still to replace my rears. When doing the front springs I found it easier to remove the arch liners, otherwise I would have been all day fitting in the small retainer clips (arthritis):D PS, the bottom pin is secured with a bolt ;)

Fuse failed warning & power seat problems

Hi all Me again with a fuse problem on my P38a DSE I'm afraid. After I moved my passenger power seat forward, the fuses failed. However, on inspection they were ok. I decided to replace all the fuses with new ones (8,9,10, 20 &22) but I still get the message that the fuses have failed...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Tried to trace the fault on my P38a passenger seat. Moved the bugger forward then messages telling me that the seat fuses have blown. Checked them with a multimeter and all are OK. The wiring under the seat looks OK to me as well. Stumped:confused:

    Fuses 8,9,10,20,22

I am also thinking that it's a dodgy wire. The battery was stone flat this morning, so something is draining the battery. Will have a closer look over the weekend Cheers

    Fuses 8,9,10,20,22

Hi all I was adjusting my passenger seat forward when at the end of it's travel, my radio went off, with a warning on the message centre telling me that fuses had blown. Anyway, checked the fuses and all seemed OK, no sign of blowing. Any ideas guy's.

two stroke oil in a diesel

Daft question, but why would you add 2 stroke oil to diesel? What are the benefits?

    diesel fuel consumption

29 mpg sounds about right to me. I am getting 15 mpg going to & from work, but on a run I get 27mpg. Somebody on here, probably Datatek or Wammers said that diesel has an anti waxing additive in the winter which reduces the mpg slightly.

    P38 Diesel Sync mate

I might be interested Dean. Would it need to be 'registered' so to speak for my P38?

    How to identify overdrive?

The 3.5 classic I owned dropped revs at 55mph which made me think it had an overdrive. Wammers, what do you mean by a torque converter locking up? Does it act like an overdrive?

    Anyone got these wheels?

I have the exact same wheels (18 inch) on my P38, thought they were Hurricanes. Also got a set of the same wheels & tyres but 17 inch

    Handbrake question

Cheers guy's, I have suspected that he was at it for a while. He charged me £200 for rear brake calipers for the Volvo's MOT a few months ago. I had to bleed the brakes again after a week, that's when I discovered that he fitted reconditioned parts that I could have got for £45 each. Had to...

    Handbrake question

On the to do list along with fitting thermostat, rear air springs and bonnet cable. Just waiting on dry weather :D I thought so, thanks. The MOT guy has a habit of charging for stupid things when the cars pass first time, like "had to grease a wheel bearing, i'll only take £25 for that"...
