What did you do with your Range Rover today

Have not used the Rangie for about 6 weeks. Decided to start it up and give it a run. Battery a bit flat, but got it started when I switched the ignition on and off a few times to heat the glow plugs up. I also noticed the brake discs were covered in surface rust, no problem I thought as that...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I've got the Oxford Oximiser on the bike. The Rangie lives on the street now, so can't rig up a charger, incase some arse trips over the extension cable  I have a solar charger I used on a campervan years ago which is somewhere in the shed.

Engine misfire - yellow flashing -URGENT

I'm surprised that they didn't change the plugs. Probably best to get it on diagnostics I'm afraid.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Not been used for 4 weeks so flat battery and front tyres needed charging and inflated. Took it for a wee run.

    Fuel or Electrics

I had a similar problem with my 98 DSE as the engine gave an intermittent stutter, like a misfire for a second or two. Some guys here reckoned it could be No 4 injector. My MIL light did not show on the dash, so decided to fit the new diesel filter than had been lying in the boot for the past...

    EAS fault codes

Hi all My EAS seems to be working OK, though on occasion I get an EAS fault in message centre. No big deal because the suspension does not reach the bump stops and if I switch off then leave it 10 minutes everything works as it should. I have not fitted my new air bags and compressor recon...

    Strange backfire

I would double check the firing order of the HT leads first.

Whats the next job/task/repair to do on your Range Rover??

Whats the next job/task/repair to do on your Range Rover??

Got the air suspension repair kit delivered this morning. I was fitting new rear bags last month, but a heart attack scuppered that idea. I'm going to supervise my son to fit the air bags for me :D Still to do; Bonnet catch cable Thermostat

Reverse light glowing when ignition off

Cheers Wammers. I unplugged the looms from the BECM, gave them all a squirt of electrical cleaner, quick clean then put them back. Seems to be OK so far.

Reverse light glowing when ignition off

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, its a P38a diesel. Just checked, the carpet is dry. It also looks as if somebody has been in at the centre consul which is causing me some concern, because whoever had the P38 before me has been a total bodger

Reverse light glowing when ignition off

This evening I noticed that there was a slight glow from the Off side reverse light. Also a slight glow from the red Park indicator lamp which went off when I pressed the mode switch, the there was still a glow from the reverse light. Looks like I need to dismantle the centre consul to find...

    P38 Brake fluid leak

Replacing the brake pipes is an easy job. I took off the offside front arch panel to get access to the two unions, removed the old pipes, measure, cut and flare new pipes then fit and bleed.

    Front bumper bolts

Whilst changing the Air Con belt, I noticed the two bolts are missing from below the front bumper. Does anybody know the exact size? so that I can get some from the tool store tomorrow I'm thinking that they might be 9mm as I tried 8 and 10 mm bolts. Am I right in thinking that 9mm is an odd...

    My P38 is very clever

Hi all, not posted for a while, tho' still look in. Thought I'd share this; Since before xmas, my blend motor had jammed only to direct hot air to the screen. No big deal I thought so did not bother to fix it. However, it was a hot day today, so there I was mucking about with the HEVAC...
