    TD5 Injector Wiring Harness

The Injector Wiring Harness on my '03 TD5 needs changing, there's the tell tale evidence of oil by the multi plug. There's a big price difference between genuine the Land Rover replacement item AMR 6103 and the aftermarket items - £60 as opposed to £28 or less, The same goes for the rocker...

    Fuel Pressure Regulator

The fuel pressure regulator was changed over this morning. Removing the engine removal bracket at the rear makes the job a lot easier as well as cable tying the pipes and moving them to one side. Still a horrible job though.

    Rear Parking Sensors

Can I have some advice please. I want to fit rear parking sensors to my '03 Discovery 2GS. I know the subject has been on here in the past but the last time it was discussed apparently was in May 2010 and times and kits move on..... Can I have your suggestions as to which make or type to...

    Fuel Pressure Regulator

If you ask for advice on here then I think it's your dues to let people know how you got on. I searched for a genuine Land Rover Fuel Pressure Regulator and prices varied from £140 - £160 so I printed off a few of them and took them to the local Land Rover main dealer. The Parts chap...

    Fuel Pressure Regulator

Gentlemen, can I have some advice please. The list is long and distinguished, I know, but there are two types of Discovery 2 TD5's - those that have developed a fault in their Fuel Pressure Regulator and those that are going to ........... Mine's a 2003 TD5 GS , 80k, on it's original FPR...

Advice needed please.. 300tdi or td5?

For what it's worth, I have owned both, a '96 300Tdi and a'03 TD5 and I think the TD5 is the better Land Rover. It's better built IMHO but whichever you buy they both need some serious checking out. 300Tdi admirers will disagree with my choice, no doubt, but it's the TD5 I have now. Good luck.

    Discovery 2 Heated Rear Window

Thank you - I hope that this will be of use to other D2 owners as well.

    Discovery 2 Heated Rear Window

Thanks for the reply. The window is held in place with an old fashioned rubber seal and not bonded, The rear window of a D1 is held in the same way.

    Discovery 2 Heated Rear Window

The heated rear window of my 2003 Discovery 2 hasn't worked since I bought it last year. I can see where the element has a break but because the outer glass has been badly scratched and scored the best thing to do is to replace the entire back window. I remember reading that the only panel...

    18inch Hurricane alloy wheels

Thanks a lot for your replies. I had read that 19" and 20" wheels tended to "tramline" but I hadn't heard about such problems with 18". Something new learned today. I think I WILL stick to my 16" original wheels in view of your advice. The tyres will be cheaper anyway.

    18inch Hurricane alloy wheels

Can I have some advice and information, please? I've got an '03 Discovery 2 on it's original 16" alloys. A local breaker has a 2000 P38 Range Rover in for dismantling and it has a nice set of 18" Hurricane alloys with good tyres. I believe that they fit directly on to a D2 and what I would...

Putting Freestyle Disco alloys on a Series 2

Yes, fair enough. I only asked if it was feasible and I don't really like the idea of spacers anyway. I've just been looking at a thread in a Toyota HiLux forum and one guy had 3 spacer failures in 2 years. So it looks as if it'll be the 6.5 inch ex Military 130 wheels I'll go for from Vass...

Putting Freestyle Disco alloys on a Series 2

When did you last check the second hand prices of forward control or 1 ton rims? You will have quite a surprise if you do. Defender 130 rims don't look the same, and as for Wolf rims, forget it! I know, I've looked at every alternative. Zeus rims? I could buy a complete Series Landy for the...

Putting Freestyle Disco alloys on a Series 2

Thank you for your replies except for Hughesy above. If I had wanted to ask for his opinion on taste then I would have asked for exactly that. I didn't. It's my 2a and I will do as I want to it.

Putting Freestyle Disco alloys on a Series 2

Can I have some advice, please. I'm about to put a ex P38 Range Rover power steering box on my 1962 2a to convert it to pas. I've also got a set of ex disco 1 Freestyle alloys which I bought for another vehicle last year which has since been sold. The 2a has Fairey freewheeling hubs which I...

    power steering

Yup! That's the way I'm going as well. I had originally thought of going the same route as the Scout box because the late Daihatsu Foutrak steering box is the same, so I'm told. There are plenty of P38 power steering boxes on ebay now for some reason. I bought one last week but remember to get...

    Paint Removal

If you want to buy Nitromors then I suggest you do so fairly quickly because it will soon be unavailable in it's present form - something to do with EU regulations.

    Armoured Land Rover Steering Box

Thanks for your input. Quick point to 1moley - I thanked jamesmartin for his info on Hobsons, not for Blanchards, I emailed them before and that was the response I got . As soon as I get something back from Hobsons, I'll post it here. If somebody's been good enough to try and help then it's my...
