My TD4 has just been checked by a LR dealer here in Australia [ replaced radiator] & found no problems with the ecu ect, had been running rough at at start up with light blue smoke but then settled down. Has run well for the last 2000k but has started the same problem again, yesterday at 2000...

Replaced crankcase breather/filter & blanked off EGR valve when I first purchased vehicle [135k] seals have arrived from UK & will fit today, well keep posted on results.

Hi Looking for a reason [mechanical/electronic] why when cold on starting engine runs rough some times, occasionally small amount of blue smoke then settles down. This stops when engine gets hot, replaced MAS sensor also have had computer reset & faults cleared, ran well & towed a caravan 6000k...

Hi, have read a post from 2006 about collapsed suction side power steering hose, I have the same problem on my 2004 TD4, did not see to say how to address this problem? Anybody on information how to fix/ forget or where to source new hose. Regards Len

Thanks for the advise with the discovery 2 rims, have sourced 16" steel rims, new are expensive but he might be able to supply 2nd hand at a good price. will let him know about the LR2. LenV

Hi, Looking to upgrade wheels on my 2004 TD4 from the present 195x80x15 to a bigger tyre/rim as I am going caravanning here in Australia on crappy roads.:confused:

Hi from the land of Oz, Summer & hot 34c today & a storm brewing, just came back from Fraser Is after giving the Td4 a work out. I just brought it as a beach/bush S U V, great little machine.
