What did you do with your Range Rover today

:eek: I remember shipping a Toyota Supra Turbo back to the UK from Florida (drove it Canon Ball Run style from Seattle to Florida in 5 days), then flew home and picked it up off ship at Southampton, drove it up M6 to Lancs with 100% blacked out from windows and US plates - Babilon gave me...

I think as long as you can get at least two bolts n nuts either side of frame cut line, should be solid enough. Don't think I'd rely on self tappers.

    P38A Tailgate seal coming loose

I used Gorilla Glue on drivers door seal upper fwd corner, the stuff you have to wet to activate, stuck better than Sticky the stick insect stuck on a sticky bun :p

Would need care not to overdo it (like lift the car, lol) as the bolt threads would damage, but possibly just another way to help jam the pulley. The lump hammer on’t spanner, should fly off :p

Wonderin if you’d get more heat on nut using electric heat gun off Amazon (20 quid) 600 deg C and most have a nozzle to fit end of a metal tube (wardrobe hanging rail, she’ll never know) then heat can be delivered directly on to nut down the tube. Also can you get to pulley from underneath wi a...

I still recon you need a proper long drop forged tight fit 32mm spanner to shift this, so the energy of whacking it at the top gets transferred to the nut. Just hope the modified tool holds the bugger still while doin it o_O

Just a guess but the adjustable spanner mechanism thread might be absorbing the hammer shock, I think I’d be looking at fixed heavy 32mm spanner and wedges or something to lock the pulley. But having said that I’ve only got v8 experience  Definitely hitting it in same direction as fan...

The only time I’ve had that is when I hand painted me classic steelies, the first trip the nuts squashed the paint around the lug oles and the nuts worked loose. Made a right racket, though engine was dropping out

I guess so. It’s just having moved house 9 times in 20 yrs of marriage, I need a LR to keep my head occupied, otherwise I’d just end up sat rocking in the corner ;)
