Yep Ive got the feeling that it is a very temporary fix... It involved a lot of dodgy fixing!

Managed to re solder the circuit board + add some botches. Will get a new one but fixed for the minuet!

The PCB is recked.

Hi all, I have managed to wreck the one and only key fob for my 2006 defender. To make the situation worse the door locks are stuck! So I am stuck out of the car! Without a fob to unlock it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Jonathan.

Drives good. Haven't had a very big drive. Everything felt nice and tight no play.

Cheers guys, The bulkhead seemed solid. I had a really good poke about all along the chassis, no patches no deep rust. A bit of surface but nothing terrible. Jonathan.

Hi All, I am looking at buying a TD5 defender. The one I have my eye on is from 1999. I now that these early ones suffered form a few issues. It has had the injector loom replaced. I have a cheap error code reader but nothing too fancy. will use that to see if there are any error codes...

Yea it is a great little car! Amazing how well it went off road.
