tbh few guys i lane with have v8's and they are all a pain in the arse , cant say they do a lot that my old 200tdi does'nt also do at a third of the fuel cost . they sound nice and can leave mine at a junction but thats about it :rolleyes:

me i get sea sick so i'll stick with fenders ;) with a fender they hold thier money well and about all you need is some reasonable size mud tyres to get you going (and for some reason you get more smiles per mile imho).

cheers :D have a T40 but the base coil plastic cover got broke when i drove under a very low bridge at speed :doh: thought i had ripped a hole in the roof of the old series 2a :D

:welcome2: think you must be a bit verticly challenged if you love it , lot less leg room ,the gear box i think is a pain spend more time changing gear when towing,fuel consumption is worse the the td5, limited to just over 80mph. plus side bit quieter on the motorway and nice heater...

well i aint verticly challenged so they dont have to be steps :doh: :rolleyes: if you are only doing a bit of "normal" laning the rock slider type are fine , if you were to tag along with us the body tree sliders are a definite advantage :D

some peeps call them tree sliders the rock sliders with tree bars on them are also i made mine out of some tree :D

but are they as robust ? have heard that the puma's eat clutches ,lad i know works in a local stealers and he said he's had 2 that have had 4/5 in the first 2 years of use :mad:
