    Swivels

I haven't had any problem with them and that's what I've used before.

    Swivels

Not too sure on a td5. But on a tdi you under the drive flange circlip and take the top swivel pin out and you can ease it off. Leaving the cv and half shaft in the axle

    Bouncy transmission uptake

Soon as this donut goes I'll get a 200 prop. Already got the flange. Swivel bearings are defiantly shot even though I did them in December... Took last shim out today and still got shakey steering. Just polybushed the front too. Gonna get new front shocks too

abs light on, cannot clear fault code

You got that the right way round. And no you dont need to remove the relay. Check the codes as they flash since it shouldn't be the same code should always read a different one of you do as said . If the same code repeats it means it's a hard fault and you still haven't fixed it. But watch...

    Bouncy transmission uptake

Donut is fine was only replaced recently with a good make one. There is a lot of play in te front diff. And I wouldve thought a lot in the tbox being on 210k now. If its normal I shan't worry, just concerned it was something else On the other hand now getting a loud bang/clunk if I stop...

    Bouncy transmission uptake

Since having my disco 1 I've noticed it's got a lot of transmission backlash. Like most other land owners I've just adopted a gentle clutch foot. But being this as my first land rover I don't know if this is normal.... When I take my foot off the accelerator swiftly, the transmission seams to...

replacement of swivel, ball as well.

The bolts that hold the swivel ball to the axle are a right pain to get off. Some times decide to shear so if you can get a few of those bolts just incase.

abs light on, cannot clear fault code

Short the pins, watch the blink code, remove the switch, wait for blink codes to stop and a steady ABS light, then turn the ignition off. Then ignition back on, short the pins again. If you get the same fault code then it's called a hard fat and you haven't fixed it. But it should then read a...

    Touring modifications

First thing I would do is make sure you get all the normal niggles and common issues sorted out. Would be embarrassing being on the back of an AA truck in a heavily modded Landy.

    Land rover minute

2 days after MOT had to change radius arm bushes. Weren't bad enough to fail test but realised how bad they were after I changed them!

    Enduro runway all terrain tyres

Friend had them on his 110. Took it round silverdale pay and play and got everywhere the MTs did, even into the bottom clay pit. Admittedly they span more but still got everywhere, I rate them quite highly for my next tyre choice

    Front Prop shaft

Sounds like diff could do with backlash adjusting. My disco doesn't quite have that much play but I get about a quarter of a turn from the front. The other place that gives play is in the transferbox. If you take the PTO cover off you can inspect the splines for wear. But it's quite common for...
