Two cylinders are well down in compression but cant remember the values. Gems engine would be preferable but the Thor is local

1995 V8 Well looks lie I am going to have to bite the bullet and fit a new engine. Car is a 4.6 but have been offered a 4.0. Any idea of how much I should offer. The engine is from a 2000 Thor and does work

Cleaned the contacts under the seat but they looked ok. Seriously thinking of replacing all the sensors cos then I know whats been done

Ok thank you I will have a wee look at the footwell connectors. See how they look first of all. It is a much younger car than my other one so they should be OK but I will try and have a look today and check the connectors from the sensors too as I believe they dont go via the footwell?

Thanks for replies When I try other heights it doesnt move I havent tried a new relay Yes is only a bit count but count but to get the bit count high enough I would be outwith the programmed maximum and would be at the same as for the extended height

1990 4.6 Thor New to me so dont know history but EAS light says is at standard but is obviously not at the back. Nanocom wont work so using RSW software which gives me that the rear is at correct height. What am I missing? Its not that it leaks and cant get to height as pump switches off and it...

I like the idea of turning a Thor to a GEMS I think I can get the electronics gizmos with the Thor engine but if I change the entire BECM that could be a world of hurt The new engine is also a 4.0 whilst my original is 4.6

Thanks Grrrrrr They have RAVE so I may well get them to change to the Thor cos that would mean I get to keep the car whose history I know and the rest is still in pretty good nick. I I brought the old engine back then I can spend some time getting bores cleaned etc and keep as a spare

Think GEMS has scratched bore and failng emissions. Would do most of spannering myself and would enjoy it but health not so good and funds not so good Changing to THOR would be done by garage who are not specialists Sounds like a footer to change

1995 V8 4.6 GEMS 210k I think my engine may be dead. There may be a 4,6 THOR available. Is it an easy swap or would I be better to rebuild the GEMS? The rest of the cr is in good nick and has been well looked after and I know her history as I have owned her as a daily driver since 60k

With mine, she just jumped to wade height and I changed the driver pack.. She never went to hard fault
