Power Steering Pipe Split. Will Ace Hose Repair work?

Yes, the hose is usually not the problem, it's typically the connections. If you have difficulty getting the correct assembly, you could ask a hydraulic hose specialist make something up for you. There is usually a few in most towns.

Power Steering Pipe Split. Will Ace Hose Repair work?

Maybe, but probably not for long. D2 PAS system pressure is upto 900psi at full lock according to the manual - so some very large forces trying to blow the pipe off.

Discovery 3 Rear Toe Spindal Rods

Part No. is RYH500116 - they look readily available. According to island4x4 it is 17mm as you've measured

Discovery 3 Rear Toe Spindal Rods

That definitely looks like 17mm - wierd! As you're measuring what I assume is the replacement part, you've presumably got the mating nut too. If not, try Island4x4 as they can be quick. The photo on the car looks to show some type of castellated nut - unless it's an odd prevailing torque nut...

Discovery 3 Rear Toe Spindal Rods

It's unlikely they're a 17mm dia thread - that would be a very, very unusual size. On my L322 RR I had to cut the tie rods out with a reciprocating saw as the bolts were rusted solid in the bushes.

    Battery failure

10-20mA drain is fine - very low & obviously not high enough to drain the battery for a long time 4.5 volts is very very low - was that measured on the battery terminals or elsewhere ? Could you have a loose battery connection ? Could the lights have been left on ? If not, the battery is very...

Disco 2 Front hub replacement, which make ?

The torque wrench isn't needed if you weigh yourself and work out what position you need to stand on a long socket bar to get the correct torque. For me it's about 18 inches from the socket centre. If you're really light you might need to find a heavier friend - lol.

    Rear tailgate door speakers

Beware many aftermarket speakers won't have the same sensitivity as the OE speakers (dB/W) - so unless you add a separate balance control to reduce the output from all the other speakers, you replacement rear door speakers won't be noticable. the speakers you've identified are not great at 88dB...

    Discovery 2 exhaust upgrade

. My 2001 10P probably somewhere between stage 1 & 2 in terms of re-map, has the straight through centre silencer, standard rear silencer, Allisport intercooler & is on 201,000 miles without issues so far. However, I've got an additional "real temperature" guage to monitor water temp & I...

    Discovery 2 exhaust upgrade

The Allisport intercooler is a useful upgrade. Pick-up starts at slightly lower rpm & seems to add noticable torque + better top end

    Discovery 2 exhaust upgrade

Removing the very large & heavy centre silencer can make the engine pick-up slightly faster - but can make the exhaust very "droney" at speed (unless you're already deaf - lol). I replaced the centre section on ours with a straight through stainless section & it lasted 4 weeks before I decided...

    Advice for D1/D2

Very little is functionally interchangeable. Suspension springs are physically interchangeable, BUT the big weight increase of the D2 means the ride height would be very low

Disco 2 Centre Diff Lock Linkeage ?

The guts were in the transfer box until approx March 2001, but no linkage - as said above. I guess that was approx or just before the Facelift model was launched.

    Disco 1 Disco 1 200tdi | Brakes not 'Biting'

Glad you've found the cause. No, it's not a surprise that a small pipe can cause a brake problem. Any vacuum leakage reduces the max assistance from the servo.

    Disco 1 Disco 1 200tdi | Brakes not 'Biting'

it won't be air causing your lack of "bite" - as air only effects brake pedal travel. What condition are your discs if they've not been used for so long - inside & external faces? Has 1 or more of the caliper slide pins or pistons siezed? You need the wheels off & everything checking over for...

    Disco 2 ACE woes

If ACE was previously removed, I can't remember if you have to turn it off via diagnostics to avoid warning lights. Have you re-enabled it?

    Disco 4 (LR4) Sister Forum

I've often used the aulro forum for info. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ There's lots of great posters who I'm guessing have had to investigate & find their own solutions to problems due to lack of local Land Rover dealer support & local parts suppliers.
