Thanks James. I just wanted to check if the arm could have been installed wrong at some point. I plan on putting some corrected or jointed trailing arms on anyway, but was just interested in seeing if flipping them would improve things for now, a quick job!

It was a good day, I think the site was a bit small and over crowded but on the whole very fun. Disco took some damage but only cosmetic, the new (1985) 90 did really well, loved it. Definitely need a good day on the lanes soon

In my experience the viscous coupling part of the fan just doesn't work properly - never had one that performs proper free spin when cold. For that cost consider an electric fan conversion, or if you're anywhere near Basingstoke Hampshire feel free to grab a freebie entire fan and coupling...

Oh ,it's the turret ring at the top. Well if it's part of the chassis - it needs welding! If it's a broken turret ring or turret, just replace - all in around £30. Maybe take the turret off and check out what part has the damage?

Just as a followup to anyone else reading, having spoken to the lovely chaps at Frog Island and Adrenaline4x4.... An earlier 90, like mine, 1985, takes a 40mm bush, axle bracket gap at 44mm, with a later 90 taking a 44mm bush which has an axle gap of 48mm. This is all for the front end...

And of course as its front, you'l have to remove the damper, which should be easy as you've just had it out.

The spring seat is just a removable part that clamps through the bottom of the axle with 2 bolts. So its as easy as removing 2 bolts (which might be stuck a bit tight), jack the body of the vehicle until the spring is loose, lift it up a bit, remove the lower spring seat part, replace with new...
