Ok so looked at this leak again . It certainly does look like its leaking down from above . There is no leak at least so far from the intermediate shaft o,ring all is bone dry , Nor from the drain thats between the 2 boxes if the seals had failed , Even if it were those as well it would not...

What are peoples thoughts on mixing different branded oils , but of the same spec ie 80/90 gl4 .

swapped my transfer boxes today lt230 for one i've rebuilt , i was going to change the r380 output seal but as it was bone dry in between the 2 boxes and not having the special tool i felt best left . But where the box joins to the alloy section , oil is running down what looks like from above...

Just nearly finished this lt230 build and ive used LOCTITE 243 BLUE , i did google 290 and it said it was a medium strength as is the 243 . Just thought i would check again and ive found that 290 is med/high green . The 243 looks better suited ie contaminant proof , sealing abilities etc BUT...

Does anyone know what the front and rear output housing to case TORQUE settings are . my manual says 26nm front and 25nm rear . But google it and it says 45nm for the rear , seems heavy to me . Any help asap would be appreciated before my loctite sets .
