whats the law on spot lights ?

If your gonna mount big bright lights on the roof then you should really know that you aren't using them as normal headlights. If they are switched on you turn them off when someone comes the other way. Just like main beam headlights. Fit em where you want as long as they are in pairs!

    Self opening N/S front door!

I had a similar thing with the drivers door and suffered for 6 months. Worst for me was happening at 70mph. Needed new pants after that! I eventually chased the problem down to the window runner pressing against the lock mechanism. It would put pressure against it and prevent the return spring...

    Arb winch bumper

What do yours look like? The price of them is the only thing that puts me off! I'm going to a 4x4 superstore tomorrow though. Just for a browse. Although not sure how much of a battering my bank account can take!

    Arb winch bumper

I'm in oz and seeing many a 4x4 and landy with arb winch bumpers and the lust is increasing for them. Are they legal to fit over here? Not sure how the law stands with Bull bars. Struggling to upload a pic where I am.

They are fantastic pieces of kit. Had an sdv6 hse on borrow a few weeks back. Didn't want to leave it. Absolutely effortless power for the size of it.

300tdi Blue smoke when revved/feels rough

mine does this to an extent, blue smoke when cold if you rev high in first gear then let off the pedal completely. will do it once then thats it, i had a feeling its maybe some oil in the turbo/exhaust system and its just burning off as its only doing it when cold

    Disco 1 v Disco 3

I was told that its more the nuts and bolts that rust on the d3. So give it a good waxoyl as it can turn simple jobs into a nightmare as you have to destroy parts that were otherwise good to get bolts and bushes out.

    Good lr garage fred

I've been using Holgate garage in Orrel, wigan for the last few months. Bang on set of lads and good prices too. Charged me £90 to fix p gasket, new brake pads and tighten up wheel bearings.

    Ayresys Workshop Thread :)

They would have stabiliser bars to stop that. Strapping them up would have pulled them in till they stopped anyway. There's still a mounting point for the weight blocks where the protection bar for the loader is. Hence why I said front axle. Failing that if there's the room then round the...

Those straps are 5t rated I wouldn't have strapped it on like that. I would have used more solid points ie over rear link arms and over front weight block or each side of the front axle.

    110 suspension am I mad.

I've got medium duty on my disco. Perfect for what it does. Didn't want the bone shaking feels-like-blocks-of-wood-not-springs ride. Been on for a year now and no complaints.

    Bumper to bumper and air

1: no, that's why there are bumpers for a d1 and a d2. Yes you can lift it but you have to buy a set of springs and convert from air to springs.

    what winch?

I'm assuming that's the one now sat on my disco? It's a good solid winch that one. Although didn't you take the brake off that one Sam? Noticed it pulls back out when I put some strain on it.
