my 2000 4.6l vouge auto is it possible to check the operation of the idle control valve(icv)? my issue is this sometimes it will idle perfectly at 750 rpm(in or out of gear) then you might drive for half hour,come to a halt to find it idling at 1000 rpm.it appears to be random, ie sometimes...

i have been searching through the forums about p38 4.6 fuel consumption,and it would seem that 13 to 15 mpg or even more seems to be the going rate.so why does my tub do approx 11mpg?(lpg) is my right foot got a divers boot on it or are the other threads hans christian anderson jobs?

just put in as many helicoils as will fit in the depth of the hole.

my 4.6 is running quite happily with a thermostat,water pump and pressure cap from island 4x4.

as far as the engine is concerned lpg is better, it does not dilute oil where as petrol is a very good degreaser... ie it dilutes oil big time...

as i understand it,it is designed as an emergency measure only,ie your petrol pump fails for instance.i have never heard of air boxs being destroyed by force starting lpg systems.however you take a big risk with your injectors and vapouriser as they effectively are feeding liquid lpg to the...
