    2a restoration..PIC HEAVY!

Been getting on with the bulkhead.. again, didn’t take an awful lot of pictures whilst at it. Just the passenger footwell and a few bits to tidy up. Need to get the axles out my pals garage and see to them and then it can go back together. I’ve decided I’m going to treat myself to a galvanised...

    Zenith carb accelerator pump question

Good morning Andrew. I did, I removed it with some force! The spring had “gone under” itself. So in this case that’s all it needed. I got a replacement, and it fitted with ease (quite loosely). https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/land-rover/100753/how-to-rebuild-a-carburettor-zenith-36iv I...

    2a restoration..PIC HEAVY!

Finally finished scratching my head and measuring stuff and started on the bulkhead today. Decided to make the pillar good before removing the footwell. A few welds left to dress up but I got fed up of running in and out to avoid showers.

    2a restoration..PIC HEAVY!

This was with the bulkhead measuring correct off of outriggers, and likewise the rear tub. If you eye across the top of the bulkhead to tub bulkhead you can see they’re not quite right. It isn’t far away.. Nice to see it looking kinda like after it being in bits for how ever long, all be...

    2a restoration..PIC HEAVY!

I drilled them out them out the other day. I loosely fitted the wings/bonnet/front panel. Just to see if it would help me with the alignment issues I was having. It’s nice to walk out to see the Landy looking like a Landy again. But it’s all got to come off tomorrow.

Ta mate, I’ll make sure I ask them about delivery if I decide to go for them. Did want to order some bits to do the brakes up from them as well...

After a wiring loom for me 2a.. autoparks temp closure

Hello there. Hope all is well. As the title states, I’m after a complete loom for my 62 2a (a suffix). I was going to order one from autosparks as they seem to be the go to people. I see I can get one from craddocks, are they ok? I can hold off until they re open but I’d like to be able to get...

    2a restoration..PIC HEAVY!

Sorry I didn’t take the time to do the write up on those previous pics. I’ve been having quite the time lining my bulkhead up before I start welding. I had been measuring off of the top of the chassis outriggers at their extremities to the top of the bulkhead. Likewise with the rear tub. I...

Bulkhead advice. Could someone measure they’re bulkhead for me?

Those measurements helped a lot. I ended up questioning the chassis. The one thing I thought would be spot on. And it isn’t quite. All within jiggle room I think. I had been measuring the rear tub/bulkhead hight off of the outriggers. Was struggling to get anything level and measuring correctly...

Bulkhead advice. Could someone measure they’re bulkhead for me?

That’s fantastic, thanks so much for that. Just having some snap but I’ll compare measurements. I’m itching to weld the bulkhead... just want it right (obviously)! thank you again for taking the time to do that.. Joe

Bulkhead advice. Could someone measure they’re bulkhead for me?

Cheers for that mate. I’ll upload some pics now as I’m stood scratching my head with a tape measure in one hand and a coffee in the other. So I have a replacement britpart pillar, and a YRM foot. Test fitment of the pillar shows that when the top hinge holes are in the correct position, the...

Bulkhead advice. Could someone measure they’re bulkhead for me?

Hello there, I hope this finds everyone in good health. While not being able to go to work, I’ve been enjoying lots of time on the landy (1962 2a 88”) I have sat the new chassis down. I have replaced most of the underside of the rear tub, centred and bolted the rear of it up. I have now come...

    2a restoration..PIC HEAVY!

So, after being crippled with hay fever the last week or so I haven’t wanted to do anything when I’ve got in from work other than lock myself into a hermetically sealed room. I never usually suffer with it but the last week or so its been terrible. Any road, Landy! I got to do a bit on Friday...
