What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Battle scars also make it less desirable to be stolen in my view

I bought this one the other week from Amazon relatively cheaply; Hilka 84800120 Manual Grease Gun Set Pro Craft

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Unfortunately lost drive in rear axle on Friday. Since found it the fault of the Drive Member but the bearings look messy :(

Will series 3 seats fit defender?

Yes but I believe the hole spacings are different so new ones will need to be drilled.

Where do you put your axle stands?

As above, flat part not too far from axle so the stand won’t slip and will support the weight evenly

    Freelander won't start!

I would check the health of the battery first, then the earths on the starter. Also glow plugs would be worth a check. Fuel and air filters not a bad idea.

    Wolf defender

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover_Wolf It’s worth reading up on them first. They were all manufactured between 1996 and 1998. Under the skin there are a lot of differences to a civilian Landrover, 24v electrics, reinforced chassis and body, updated axles and suspension. They also won’t...

    Seized Engine Conundrum

I would check the cam followers and cam shaft first, then the timing chest and finally the crank bearings. Presume something’s gone tight so it managed to keep running but once stopped couldn’t budge again

    Pushrod not moving

Sounds like the slider/guide or the roller are broken or the push rod isn’t seated on it properly. Likely to be a head off repair

    12J engine ?

Interesting, I didn’t think there was much difference between 12J and 19J except the turbo, although the 19J should be strengthened. Has it currently got the turbo fitted?

    Defender military bonnet clips

They hook on pretty tight. Off-roading won’t budge them.

    Defender military bonnet clips

Apart from lack of security I have no issue with mine. I only have the military clips, the civi bits aren’t functional and the bonnet doesn’t have the pin

Axle identification needed due to stuck caliper bolt

To my knowledge you could take the whole lot off where the ball bolts to the axle casing, but this would include the half shaft. But what you gain in access you’ll loose in leverage for undoing the bolt.
