Sport New to me 4.2 sc

Nice job, I still believe there is a place for quality colour coded trim. My sons car gets regular thumbs up for matching in all the sad moulded black plastic. We’ll done. Tricky

    Suspension

Hi @Rosie 67 your not alone, we all get this at some time. I know your model shares running gear with the Discovery of that year so you could ask the question in that forum but in the meantime, check that the compressor runs up when you start the car but should go quiet after the system is...

    Sport Scraping rear brake.

Hi, I like the advice about shoe adjustment as mine are scraping slightly just now but I also have a binding calliper piston to deal with. However, I did have a problem with the shoe holding pin that came loose and sounded like a stone trapped in the drum. Worth pulling it all apart to check...

    P38A Insurance prices getting silly

Just pulled the L322 Supercharged off our Admiral Multicar Policy as they doubled the premium despite having no claims or convictions i previous year. The increase wiped out the discounts given on our other three cars, what a scam. So I’m currently looking into a single policy fit the Range as...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

New subject, NSR Brake Calliper binding, as if I didn’t have enough to do. This is the third seized brake on our cars, it’s a conspiracy. Still chance to spend the afternoon outside. Tricky

L322 Leaking water in rear pillar

Hi @yogibear0810 please can you confirm that you were able to successfully seal this leak path as I’m chasing the same having thought I had sussed it out. Any glimmer of hope is much appreciated. Cheers Tricky

    Back in Rangie Ownership

Welcome to the world of Supercharged delight. Provided you drive her almost every day that V8 should give miles of smiles. Enjoy fixing the niggles, it’s a very worthwhile pastime in my humble opinion. Tricky

2011 L322 Rear Arch Rust Advice

I believe there are more threads on this issue especially regarding welding the inner arch to the outer arch. There may be worse rust further round the arches where they are trapped by the rear door seals? I would want to see the whole arch both sides with doors open before flying. Also if the...

    Front heated seats

Hi Stephen, welcome to LZ. Be careful if you push the button and the lights come on but no heat, if the elements are broken you may be supplying power to them and they could arc and burn. No heat “Turn them off”. I left mine and it wasn’t long before the smell of electrical smouldering filled...

    L322 4.4 2002 battery Drain

Hi just thought I’d share my past post on this subject, hope it’s useful and helps resolve your issue. Get the battery up to full charge or replace if required. If you can check the earth straps around the engine to chassis as mine were very corroded. Check when you switch off and lock that the...

    Head lights

Hi Carl, just to add on the UK I believe it is an MoT fail an possibly illegal to install an use LED replacement bulbs or headlight upgrades if the vehicle was not fitted with LED headlights in the factory. Feel free to put me straight if I’ve misunderstood the legislation. Tricky

    Old age Land Rover Insurance.

Don’t feel too singled out, my 2005 Range Rover insurance went up from £600 to £800 and I’m 62 with no claims or convictions. They’ll probably blame it on the increased cost of heating the skyscrapers they occupy on Canary Wharf. Tricky
