    Greenlaning on your own?

R U going to be in cell range? Can you do basic/but necessary repairs? I routinely go out on my own, but I don't have a choice as its just not practical here in northern bc. I hunt and get wood quite often by myself. I have a winch, highlift jack, extra battery, a sh.tload of tools, 500' of...

A Simple Method Of Testing Your Injectors.

I thought that was pretty good as it had the Military transfer case which was seriously under-geared for the new motor. My speedometer isn't working presently so wont know mileage till fixed.

    Fuel filter seized

If you pour boiling water over it, it might warm it up and cause expansion, which might help break the seal.

    300tdi inncorect temp reading.

I've read a lot about the poor design of the water-pump location on these engines. Where and what can I do to circumvent this issue, i.e.. it being to late by the time you know there's a low water problem. So i'd like an indication from a different location if there is a significant loss of coolant

    Stuck outer hub lock nut

I just finished using a very small angle grinder to cut the races off my hubs. It was about an 1.5 inch disc. Cut most of the way through then chiseled it the rest off the way. Heating it is a good way to lessen as well. Good luck.

While changing the rear bearings on my defender, I had an axle stick in place so that the spring steel clip could not be attached as the axle was to far in. After searching the web various suggestions were offered. I tried slide hammer and attaching a ratcheting tie-down strap. Neither worked...

    Ashcroft gearbox and TC

Recently installed both gearbox and transfer case. After I noticed a difference in shifting. Not as nice and gear selection more difficult. Is this normal? and is that what the adjustment bolts on the sifter box is for? I also had a rhythmic thumping in front end. Examined CV joint. It seemed...

I've never heard of removing a heater to gain power. There is no connection between the two. Larger intercooler, larger turbo yes.
