    Bellhousing Wanted!!!

Moving the engine back is ballache but if it's comp safari I think it's worthwhile. Trials not so much. Many have the middle of the plenum chamber under the bulkhead

    ALRC Project

Hi Simon, It's an LT95 and 3.9 on carbs probably my pet hate but it's together and runs ok. It's better than I am which isn't hard. I need to make some double winged belt mounts and get the harnesses on double quick ready for the nationals. Either that or over a bar and to the floor. Probably...

    Bellhousing Wanted!!!

You will probably need a remote oil filter assy anyhow if building it for trials and watch where the front axle comes up as there is a sweet spot and everywhere else hits. Unless you take the engine up which isn't good

    Bellhousing Wanted!!!

Condition unknown I've never used it, but came from a comp safari guy told Me it was good working order. These boxes are tough doubt very much wrong with it. It's a 101 short bellhousing box. Bolts up to a Rover v8 with an older 10 inch clutch assy. I don't need to sell it as it may do for a...

New diffs doubts - dual Ashcroft ATBs vs single Detroit Locker

I've had the Detroit Salisbury version in several axles for 8 years and whilst I don't agree it's dangerous it is very noticeable to drive back on open diffs. I was changing rear radius arm bushes every 6months to a year. Tyre diameter being equal is critical and the feeling of understeer or...

New diffs doubts - dual Ashcroft ATBs vs single Detroit Locker

HD if you entertaining lockers HD is the only way £300a pair Atbs not convinced my bro has them. A true locker and HD shafts is the only way to go. If price is an issue just a Detroit rear and HD shafts. Deal with the not so nice handling and rear bush replacement. If you want to be better than...

New diffs doubts - dual Ashcroft ATBs vs single Detroit Locker

To be honest after having a Detroit for many years in my 90 I would probably invest that bit extra in a lockable switchable locker. My bro has had Atbs and yea they're great but I dont think I would have them. A Detroit is a great bit of kit and I would have in a heart beat again (non rover type...

Recovery strops and straps and guff

Bridal usually shorter. For recovery purposes not including a winch forget strips. If your talking winching then strips are a must. If being towed a 24mm 3 strand nylon rope in invaluable 8 meter being most useful as halved it's quite handy to get your angles formtowing right.

    great british land rover show

Not great with a todddler, waited for food to be told it's curry and rice or chips. No good for a 20 month old however I did have food for him. Probably won't go again unless it's bigger. Walked around in 30 minutes a few good bargains but it needs to massivlynup ramp the second hand section and...

ALRC - Q class - For 'any' Land Rover. Extreme mods accepted

Chiltern are doing the Nats RTV this year, Anglian CCV and probably Team Recovery. There is a little Hint that Anglian club want a Team Recovery team or two to have a go at this year too. After my last CCV I'm nowhere near aggressive enough to be giving it a go. It's time to plunge into comp...
