Hi all, just some quick advice if anybody can help. My son is going to look at a 1997 2.5 DSE on friday, after speaking with the current owner he has informed my son that the airbag light is constantly on. Can anybody advise me if this is an expensive fix or just a usual Rangie sensors...

Yep deffo behind speedo area more to the lower where your right knee would be. And yes turn the radio up and you can drown it out LOL. can only be heard when accelerating under load when cold only?

Yep this is correct had the same problem with my 1998, 2.5 DSE. The LCD on dash was saying all the wrong gear selections. Took it off cleaned all the contacts and ha ha all good so far. Considering a new switch is around £250 it's well worth having a go at cleaning up the old one.:rolly:

PMSL here at this post, Well done to you all for spotting this one. Good old Fleabay. Some poor sod who is not up on the RR BMW power plant could have ended up with this piece ****. Well spotted and glad the peasent was reported to eBay. :hysterically_laughi

Well done mate, looks nice, I revamped my 1998, 2.5DSE last year with walnut kit etc. makes a whole difference.:)

Thanks Keith, Excellent reliable advice again, just for the record will this cause any transmission problem when selecting a gear or is it just sending the incorrect information to the cabin display.:)

Hi Nathan, Its a 2.5 DSE, it's such a minute hair line crack, I will try the epoxy as a short term solution and a new radiator on next service which is due September.:)

Yep gonna make sure there is no coolant / antifreeze present and wire brush the area and give it a go:):), I guess worse case will be a new Radiator:mad:

RF receiver in the boot?? could be disconected may be worth a look as they are prone to endless problems

Just a quick update Re: my leaking Radiator. Just prior to buying a new one, I had another quick look the weekend to trace the leak that is trickling from what appeared to be the bottom N/S. Upon further inspection the bloody leak is at the top. The top of the radiator is like a hard resin...

Yep its a new radiator. Any special advice for me I'm g oing to try my skills and fit it my self. Just concerned that air conditioning. Pipes or oil cooler may be in the way. Any advice welcome.
