I've got a defender td5 90 2001 yreg done 112000 miles, seems guttless like its lacking power? if i boot it or accelerate hard black smoke ****es out and it does pick up but seems like its lacking something. Does anyone know what to check for please?

Thats only about 45mins away from me and i have a mate who lives in scawthorpe.

Not changing the pump but need to move the tank slightly as its too far over to left and i am trying to refit towbar etc and the tank is as tight as fook and will not bar over!

Here's some pictures of my defender td5 90 chassis swap which inc new richards chassis, Took 7 days on my own steady away first time i've ever done one! new springs shocks turrets spring seats, all new bushes, dual mass flywheel and clutch plus all new nuts bolts etc

The raised boss on a td5 points towards the engine i can 100% confirm, glad it was right pheww.
