    Steering box on a 90 - advice

John Richards (in Hinstock, Shropshire) will do you a recon exchange box for £150, maybe less seeing as it's non PAS. Should be able to do it mail order.

Low and High Gear box issue left me sat in a river.

Selectable 4x4 was for four cylinder models between 83-84. V8s were full time from the start

Low and High Gear box issue left me sat in a river.

Not entirely sure, but for the first year of production, four cylinder 110s were available with selectable drive. V8s had full time 4x4 from the start. I've only ever seen one vehicle for sale with this arrangement, and I've seen one of these gearboxes going on eBay for silly money.

Very early 110s had selectable 2/4wd. Very rare now though

Sounds like you've got no idea about what your stick does! :D All 90s/110s (with the exception of some very early and rare 110s) have full time four wheel drive. When you push your stick across to the left, you're engaging the center diff lock, which locks both outputs on the transfer box...

    advice .. 50th anniversary vs built 90 V8

    The wheelbase on a 90 is actually 92.9". 110 is 110". ;)

    advice .. 50th anniversary vs built 90 V8

The modified one looks the dogs danglies. And with a 4.6... what a machine! If its wheelbase was 17.1 inches longer, it would be my dream vehicle! ;)

    220bhp 300Tdi?

Bowler built a few Tdi race engines a few years back. Someone I know has one such 200 (lucky BASTID got it for next to nothing) and it is a totally different animal to a normal 200. Forged everything, ceramic bearing shells, modified injection pump, etc etc. Quite possible

    project wombraider

Done this a couple of times, you'll find that the slop will probably return pretty quickly. Mine came back within a couple of thousand miles, and is now at the stage where it can't be tightened any more. So I now need a recon steering box.

Help please - do we chose a Disco 3 or a Range Rover

For me it would be the Rangie, no hesitation. A Disco is a family vehicle, and a bloody good one. But a Rangie, well, it's a Range Rover. 'Nuff said! :D

What mileage is your Range Rover P38 on? (1994 to 2002)

I find it amusing that lots of the V8s have low milages... spose I wouldn't drive it much either if it did 14mpg! :D EDIT: 3,000 posts woooooooooooooooo :D

Waste gate and fuel pump boost pipe connection

There's lower pressure at the inlet manifold than at the turbo itself, so the fuelling would be less with the pipe in that position, wouldn't there?
