I,ve come across all manner of problems caused by water in that channel , its always the first place I look now

I fear you're wasteing your time and more importantly your money taking it to a local garage......you need a RR specialist ( though avoid main dealers)

Along the left side of the car, under the door kick plates is a plastic channel in which the wiring harness runs to the back of the car......the channel fills with water and rots the wiring loom joins I'm not saying this is deffenetly your cause but its worth a look before you get too involved...

all MOT testing equipment needs to be of the approved type/specification........there are no approved db meters for MOT testing .......so officially cannot be used

Approach the supplying dealer politely ask if theres anything they can help with ........such as a policy claim where the manufacturer makes a contribution , some times all of it.......but bare in mind its not the dealers responsability or decision. Second thing......if the vehicle is on...

Its for a totally different engine ( Jaguar) to what you have in a P38 ( Rover) and wil not fit anyway
