Dont waste your time.......go back to the garage that failed it and ask for an appeal form. His governor wont like the ministry poking around in his paperwork and procedures. :)
As a precaution I would take the intercooler pipes off and check for oil in them........and maybe remove the intercooler and check/drain any oil from it.
I'm paranoid about diesel runaway :rolleyes:...........
Sounds like Diesel runaway , the low oil warning was a clue , possably caused by blown turbo seals.............engine runs on its own oil at high revs until it dies
Rowntrees were out of thier particular chocolate boxes at the time ........or more likely the customers were left to find the faults/weaknesses after buying one
