Yes exhaust fannymould drilled right in the middle below were the turbo sits on, ahh just realised from some of your other posts above yours is a 300tdi isn't it mines a 200tdi so no EGR and turbo is on top of the manifold so limited access . The access might be better on yours.

I've drilled and tapped mine did look at doing it whilst still in the Landy but thought there was to much room for error and didn't want to knacker the manifold . Also didn't want any swarf gating in the engine or turbo.

Last few photo's of the chassis so while waiting for the rear 1/4 chassis to come thought I'd start on the bulkhead new footwells and on to the PITA job of drilling all the spot welds out can't make my mind up whether to replace the footwell side panel or weld a bit in ? cheers Ian

That's all I had in mine lynall , there must be a difference between the pumps on a 200 and 300 tdi , I think that's a 300 tdi on that video isn't it ?

Hi all , all welding done on the chassis except the rear , I'm fitting a 1/4 chassis so waiting for that to come missed the front end the dumb irons are done will get a photo of them tomorrow and nobody panic I took the photo of the front arb's before I welded them :D.

Same as Flossie I didn't fit front door locks so left rear door so access could be gained if the central locking failed.

Did all 4 when I rebuilt my 110 csw the channel in the door is held in with self tappers make sure you get them all but all in all it's not a bad job just fiddly.

I think on the fuel tank issue that I've read somewhere that you can buy a ROW fuel tank sender for the 300tdi which enables you to use a td5 tank but not fit the in tank pump, I think this is possible because Land Rover still fitted 300tdi engines to ROW speck Defenders when they had changed to...
