boost guage would be nice regardless. I might just take it to the local tune shop and pay 20 quid to get it checked. Ultimately though, I want the pump to get a once over. Might try Strattons (local indy) but in my experience, garages are reluctant to touch them.

I'll take a careful look tomorrow. I think your thinking is correct. It is about when the turbo kicks in. Under load, it doesnt quite do the jump, but it doesnt like sitting between 2k & 2.5k. I hope the turbo is ok. If previous has played with pump, maybe they played with wastegate too.

Yeh the cap is missing so I assume someone has had a crack at some point. Really wouldn't mind someone having a look at the pump before I go away. I bet 100% diesel (which is what I'll be running on in Europe anyway) and a little fiddle with the pump will make the world of difference.

Ok, so I've done the math, and taking into account what was in there previously, whats been taken out and whats been added; the current mix is about 70% diesel, 30% veg. 69.134% to be exact :D. The engine is starting up perfectly after 1 turn, and ticking over fine. Any increase in revs however...

Exactly what i've done. Took 30 litres out and put 20 litres of diesel back in. bit weaker. Might go get another 20
