    Hippo misfires!

I would also do a leak down test and a combustion gas test before taking anything apart. Since you are in the USA the testing equipment is dirt cheap at rockauto amazon or harborfreight. That many misfire is strange. Were you very careful with the knock sensor wire when you replaced the...

    Intake manifold gaskets on V6

The clamps prevent lateral movement of the straight pipe between the water pump and the thermostat. I used a combination of zip ties and a metal hose clamp. All from Home Depot for dirt heap. Only do one side outside the car, I had to undo and redo the 2nd set of clip in the car.

    Intake manifold gaskets on V6

Pm me your email for a PDF version of rave that you can read. I changed the inlet (intake for us) manifold gasket without any additional sealant. I went with copper anti seize on the manifold bolts. The bolts are stainless and the engine block and threads are in aluminium thus dissimilar metals ..

    Geting hot.

I got a new aftermarket tank (in Canada parts from the uk are just so expensive. Might not be so bad in the USA). I also found the expension tank cap from a Ford Crown Victoria 2001 fits the 2nd generation of the expension tank on the Freelander. Both Gates and Stant make a cap. I had your exact...

    Fuel Gage upsidedown

Did you clean the barrel connectors after all? The different readings look like some sort of electrical issue.

KV6 Freelander, no drive in any gear! 2WD conversion

Thanks for taking the time to write down in details. It will help others for sure. Are you buying a new abs ecu or an old one ? I wonder if other cars use the same abs ecu. If you want me to try to find other cars with the same abs ECU, can you write which one you have ?

    T300 Diagnostics

If you mean the T3000+ from what I read on the rover site, on a Freelander K series it could read trouble codes (including pre odb2 1.8 petrol), and with a special cable, program fobs on all 4 engine models of Freelander 1. T300 Diagnostic - Advice Wanted - MG-Rover.org Forums Pre 2000...

2004 V-6 Coolant noises when stopped

Unfortunately the needle stays at normal for any temperature range from 95c to 115c (sorry not good in degrees F, Canada is mostly metric) Thus I would monitor the temperature via the scan tool. That needle is almost useless in my opinion. I would pressure test the expansion tank cap, to...

2004 V-6 Coolant noises when stopped

238F is 114C. 204F is 94C That is a bit on the high side 114C/238F. How do you describe the noises? Can you record a video/audio sound to hear? Did you do a combustion gas leak test ? a tiny tiny hole in the head gasket might leak gases into the cooling system and make noises? When...
